    Nice cheap GF 450 canopies

    A few places are stocking some pre painted glass fibre trex450 canopies that work out at under a tenner delivered.
    rossendale models and blinktrading have them in a choice of colours.
    I bought a blue one and its really nice - can't fault it for the price. Matches the SE anodising. I didn't need to trim to miss the control rods (but my frame is not standard).
    No fixing holes of grommets with them.

    I got one off Ebay, in white - going to put the same hi-viz decals as my 600E on it to make a 'mini-me' version.

          Thats the good thing about it, same colour as the sky, so you dont need to worry about orientation

            so far I only flew it round the garden.
            blue sky would be nice...but its seldom a problem

                The field over the weall at the back is quite large - but slopes 1:5 -it does however go still there in the eveneing even in a strongish westerly.

                'er indoors doesn't have much consideration for airspace with her planting. The canes at the back wall have also restricted the climb out and approach pattern for the field!

                    a hang glider launch for every wind direction withn 3 miles of my house. I can see one of the launches from my upstairs window. I have landed in the field behind the house too. shhh I'll make BobJ jealous.

                        im glad you mentioed about trimming the canopys, i done the decals last night for the first time went to stick it on and it doenst fit, what you got to do make it fit with regards to rimming the canaopys,

                        its an 450x cde trex one with doulble links from the servos
                        If You Cant Dazzle' Em With Brilliance, Baffle' Em With emmmm you know the rest

                          my gf one didn't need trimming but mine is not a std frame.
                          Ususally you need to trim the canopy a little round the front/side control rods that go to the swash.
                          I also made a cooling hole on the underside as my esc is in there above the battery.
