  • HS65MG's in the 450 Carbon frames

Just upgraded my Trex with the carbon side frame set. Now find that my HS65MG's don't fit.

Really annoying after spending 55 quid, I know potentially have to get the dremel out to open up the holes a bit.

Does anyone else have this problem, or am I just using the wrong servo's ??

    Cheers,

    Simon

I'm afraid you just have to dremel, you have no choice.

Are these upgrade frames the same as in the SE ??.

Just never noticed anyone mentioning they had to mod the frames ??

Can you get your money back? I think there is a smaller again MG servo...

Stick the 65 MGs. They are the best option right now. My old 450 had the carbon Align frames as an upgrade. I did have to dremel them slightly.

I really wouldn't worry about it, just do it. You'll soon forget that you did and be having fun.

Job done. Will probably do it prior to fitting the frames together next time.

You have to do the same on the mini titan to be honest a little bit extra work but worth it to stick with the right servo's.

Now that's strange. . . . . .I have 65MG's in my Trex450, and while they needed a little juggling to get them in the holes, they fitted right in. No dremel required.

Maybe the holes in your frames were a little undersized, or Hitec have changed the case size ?

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

Hi This is my first post on rcheliaddict.

I have just done CF frame conversion my 450XL. My 65MG's fitted ok for the forward two, but the aft one needed a little filing.

I read somewhere another option is to open up the servo case, fit the servo to the frame & re-assemble. Might be useful if you are short of a Dremel/ or file.

                  Tim.
