Seems like a good deal. The biggest cost with the 600E, as you know, are the batteries and charger. You'll want at least two batteries at about £150 each (beware cheap imitations!) and your Prodigy wont charge them. Align do make a 6S charger and balancer for around another £120.

Add to that radio gear of another £150-200 for gyro, servo's AR7000 and the total cost comes around to around £900. Oh, don't forget to add some blades, too. The kit does not come with any.
I've got a perfect flying record - I've not left one up there yet!

Thanks Andrew. Looks like a good deal there then. The one you sent. Around £500 nearly all in? Nice.

This is the combo I'd go for:

Frame type:CF Frame (black) (add 70)
          Motor:Align XL (add 55)
          ESC:Align 75A
          BEC:Align BEC
          Battery:Align 4400mAh
          Receiver:AR7000 (add 35)
          Gyro:GY611/S9256 (add 109)
          Servos:3 x HiTec 6965HB (add 129)
          Blades:Align GlassFiber
          Charger/balancer:Astro 109 (add 95)

Just under $1,500... Thats a bargain in my book. GY611 is over £260 here, the hitech servo's are £150 each and the charger is £100 here. Not bad for just a few $ extra! Of course, this is still only for 1 battery, so I'd add at least 1 more.

craig, its brilliant, you would love it. no messing around with engine tuning etc just plug in and fly. the biggest down point is obviously setup costs, but remember, you wont be buying any fuel! work out the costs per flight and they do work out to be very competitive to nitro (in fact the cost per flight is actually lower )

This is possibly true as long as your Lipo does not get trashed in a crash prematurely

                Hi Craig

Personally I'd go for the Ally frames. Most flyers of 600es I've spoken to said they are the best way to go.

Also consider how necessarry a 611 is. The 401 is very good and you have to be reasonably advanced to get it to blow out. Plus people pay stupid money for 401s so you can always get your money back if you upgrade later.

Don't touch the Align battery with a barge pole there are Sh**e.

Servos are a matter of preference, I rekon the 9252s are a good choice. but there are a few sources I can point you toward to save in this area. PM me if you want the info.

Hope things are going well over in SA

Cralis, the only thing I would add to what has been said is upgrade the BEC to a 6A, for those juicy digital servos. I second Jamiem, the 600 truly is a delight.
