  • idle up problem?

OK, i've got a little trex 450's and been flying around fine, the swash plate and servo setup is spot on and i fly in idle up -10/+10 100 100 100 etc but just recently the heli has been reacting different in normal and idle up as in when its trimmed up for hover in normal mode with a perfect hover then flicked to idle up it shoots off forward and to the left it takes a very odd stick position to keep it in the hover as if the swash plate is out so i've now set it up with sub trim to hover perfect in idle up but not in normal mode i'm running near enough the same pitch for both modes its really just the throttle curves that vary so that's my little problem folks I'm guessing somethings worn somewhere etc but all seems OK and its not been crashed so any thoughts would be welcome by the way to get it to hover perfect in idle up the swash plate is slightly off set.
    cheers.

Not sure what radio you are using but with JR you can have different trim positions for different flight modes - so if you trim it in normal mode then idle up 1 will not be trimmed.

Turn you radio on and flick the idle up switch (with out the heli plugged in!!!) take a note of the trim values and then change the other two flight models.

dx 6 spectrum. the problems in the heli though because i always trimmed it up in normal mode and switching between the 2 was no different rock solid hover for both i can only assume i have a bit of play in a bearing or something so when the extra oomph of idle up kicks in it finds the play and alters its self to suit, I've trimmed it up in idle up now and its rock solid but when switched back to normal it drifts back and to the side, not a huge problem as i fly in idle up but just odd.

apology to Thomas, numpty error mate sorry you where right the dx6 does have separate trim values for each flight mode. Note to self, read manual properly.
