  • Hello

    Hi All,
I've just joined this website on the recommendation of a friend, so thought I would post to say Hi. Currently have a T-Rex 450S and a few smaller helis (based around Piccolo mechanics) but the Rex is my main focus right now. Lovely heli, but still intimidates me. Flying circuits, can hover nose in etc but no 3D !

Anyway - I'm sure I'll be posting all sorts of questions before long ! so speak to you soon.

    Cheers

    Ed

Welcome! You have just signed up to the best forum for info of all soprts on R/C heli flying. I won't be helping much, as I too am a novice, but... the time will come. I know how to change the main shaft on the 450 though! Piece of cake when you've done it loads of times.

yeah - I'm a member of helifreak.com as well but was after something a bit more UK based, hence the recommendation to come to you guys. I've not stuffed the Rex yet to have to repair it (he says grasping for anything wood based nearby !) but I did spend 2-3 months chasing a badly behaved tail..... constant tail wag despite gain changes etc. Must have stripped most parts of the heli several times chasing that one, re-setting up the gyro etc etc just to stumble across the answer one evening - I had inadvertently set the ESC in governor mode ! changed it to heli, non governor and the wag disappeared and she has behaved ever since !
