  • Swash Plate Levelling & Interaction

Right, im very impressed with the 600 so far, but im new to ccpm, so need some help and advice. i got the swash as level as possible, all the servo arms are at 90degrees, but i had a little creep, so adjusted some of the linkages. it was then "level" (as far as i can tell without a swash levelling tool), but when climbing out it tips over very slightly to the right. how do i avoid this and correct it.

I think in my head i may have just worked it out, so tell me if im right or barking up the wrong tree entirely. I think i need to remove the three sets of linkages from the servos to the bell cranks and ensure they are all equal, remove the 3 linkages from the swash plate to the bell cranks and esure they are all equal. then using a swash plate leveling tool, adjust the bell cranks on the centre shaft so that it sits level. Would this stop it creeping, and more importantly would it stop any swash plate interaction?

I made a leveling tool out of an old bearing and some perspex, it's not pretty but works a treat.

Got all my rods correct as per the manual then leveled the swash at zero pitch using a little sub trim, then leveled it at full pitch using the travel adjust and again at neg pitch.

I do all my modles with a 12mm main shaft this way and none of them have any trim set up - well, the 600n had a tiny bit.

how did you level it 3 times? by limiting the end travel at each extreme?

yep, just make sure your swash is level throughout the pitch range.

ah right ok, so in that way there should be no change of level throught the whole pitch range then? all i need now is a levelling tool, as i have no old bearings or owt, thanks thomas
