  • Anyone dealt with alesi939 on eBay yet?

Hi Guys I'm trying to hunt down a decent deal on a Trex600. I have just over £400 to spend for it's purchase & kitting it out with one flight pack not enough I know but from small acorns etc.
The rest GY 502 9254 3050's etc is coming out of one of my raptors.
Best Deal I can find on eBay is here
£280 posted from Taiwan for a CF kit with motor speedo bec etc
Cheapest I can find in uk is from helimeup at £325 + postage.
I'm desperate now & have been hanging on to my money for 3 weeks its burning the proverbial hole in my pocket & Ive almost bought a 3dx500 & a Trex450 SE V2 Pro But I'm barely holding out for something big enough to fly properly.

Matin, the Helimeup T-Rex appears to be the 2006 model with an exchange of the 600L for a 600XL motor. Here comes the anorak bit, I believe the kit will not include the revised tail or the metal swash plate that comes with the 2007 model. I am collecting a T-Rex 600 this week end from kev's racing bits in Warplesdon near Guildford, his deal was the best I could negotiate including radio, gyro and servos. Having read the recent threads on lipos, I have decided to pay Aroura a call. Hope this helps

Gah it's a bleeding mine field buying a bladdy trex 600 I'm begining to question my sanity over this heli
Maybe I wont bother & just throw myself into the nitro scene.
I most certainly cant afford to buy the wrong one then not have any money to do essential upgrades etc.

Martin, I am assured by everyone I have spoken to or asked advice from, that the T-Rex 600 will not disappoint. Three weeks ? I've been waiting 40 years for this and I'm going to enjoy every damn minute. The 2007, 600 CF has an excellent spec out of the box and I don't anticipate changing anything except perhaps the voltage regulator from 3 amps to 6 amps. Target price is £335 which at a stretch nearly gives you the LiPo in your budget and if you have waited three weeks, what is one more ? Go on, you know you want to ! Regards, Andy

A target price of £335 that stretches to a lipo, lol not from the shops I have looked at mate.

                  Skyline want £399

                  Kevs racing want £349.99

                  Fast lad want £389.99

                  RealRaptors want £399.99

tell me where I can get one for £335 with a flight pack & I'll have your arm off mate.

Being in the Align owners club is far more expensive than being in the TT Raptor owners club!
I'll stick to my glow powered Raptors & enjoy the easy flying nature of my Mini Titan with minimal expense.
Hopefully some day electric flight wont get priced out of the market like it is being at the moment.

Maybe because I am buying the radio, gyro, servos and LiPo as well, the price I was given was a little more generous. Although it is no consolation, you are probably right, after the initial enthusiasm, prices will come down, especially if someone comes up with a shinier "must have".

                    Regards, Andy

Just had an email back from helimeup saying its rubish what you told me Andy, he says these are 2 weeks fresh out of the factory & are indeed the ones with tail upgrade & alloy swash etc he specificaly asked for the upgraded motors. I think I may get myself one & put it away in the cupboard till I can afford a couple of lipos.

Hey Martin, that's great news. The caution was based on me spending a lot of time on the internet whilst recovering from surgery on my achillies and many of the offers fro retailers not delivering what the Align web site said the model should include. I'm delighted Helimeup can give you the reassurance, makes buying much less of a risk and I bet you don't leave in the cupboard for long ! Have fun, regards, Andy

Unforunately Gary at helimeup cant send it to my mum & dads place. I did ask him as I am on holiday from today & wont be home to receive it. I'm very reluctant to pay for it then let him keep it for the whole week before sending it to me as it only has a 7 day money back guarantee & I would be leaving myself open. He says for us both to be covered by paypals seller protection policy he can only send it to my paypal confirmed adress so either way it isnt going to happen.
I have had to turn it down
I will just have to keep on looking I guess.
