I've striped teeth off my main gear.

Am I right in saying that the replacement for the 450SE is:

    HP2012-1

It's white in the photos, and mine was blue. Is the white one OK? Do they all have the same number of teeth?

i beleive they both have same no' teeth but the blue is more durable.
dont forget to order the "tool" for removing/refitting the one way bearing.

another option is available....an after market gearset where you unbolt the gear from the auto-hub assy.. if memory serves me right.

The blue ones are slighly harder, but they do strip when you crash with power on.

The little drift tool is essential.

You'll soon get used to replacing all the crash bits on a Trex

Take care to note the exact position of the one-way bearing in the old gear, then drift back to the same location in the new gear.

I have found that sometimes you can 'bind' the bearing so that the two gear do not rotate properly. When assembled they must rotate freely one way but not the other (one-way bearing)

Usually the bearing survives OK, OK to remove & replace

Not expensive though to have a spare...esp if you are sending for spares from SA!

Yes, you can remove the one way bearing from the old gear and install it into a new gear.

The removal tool is useful (I have one myself) - if you are in need, but don't yet have one, try a suitably sized socket from a socket set instead.

                  Cheers,

The silver thing he's using I mean...
That's one way of doing it and making sure you get the bearing in the right way around!
You may find a hammer better than a brick of course

                          That's it

Looks like he lost a tooth on the front of that gear

I bought a microheli main gear, rounder than the Align light blue ones, derlin made & the oneway rocks because it has a lot resistence on it compared to the Align ones also I have never replaced it, it came from my SEV1 and is now in my SEV2
