The really good pilots just stand there and don't lean from side to side and pull faces.
So we need a pic of Nutz with the heli stood tail or nose down very low and him looking relaxed with the tx in the background!

Who was the brave or foolish cameraman stood on the open side while you "tried out" an inverted hover Nutz?

I'm nice and comfortable nose out on the sim and always roll in and out. I have had a go at flying toward myself and flipping to nose out inverted but that seems to get out of hand sometimes.
I had this mad idea of being able to hover inverted within a year of flying but that day is looming close (31st May)
          Cheers,

The way I learned is form backflips and the sim, half back flip into nose in inverted and hold it, if it starts to go wrong follow through so you are the right way up and tail in again. The way the sim helped me for nose in inverted was right and left are reversed but pull the cyclic back heli comes towards me push the cyclic forward heli goes away from me, and fly rudder by the nose so rudder left will make the nose go left or right rudder nose goes right form inverted nose in position. No I can hover inverted I am practicing inverted circuits as this will lead me to tail in hover.........I hope.

I did do a mini chaso (2 x piro flips) both with my Trex 450V2 and my Raptor 50 today,,,,,,well chuffed

Managed to do my first Tic Toc's Sunday,,

Don't know what came over me, was flying around and just did one with about 4 tts then realised I was'nt on the sim and stopped,
Flew around to calm down a bit then had another go,, this time I was trying to perfect them thinking the sim practise had come in handy and the only thing stopping me from doing what I could do on the sim for real was me!

Like nutz I've always gone into the inverted with a half flip - usually backward.
With the heli nose in inverted the elevator is not reversed. I think this way there is less likelihood of getting the elevator wrong and flying into yourself!
My bale out is negative collective and down elevator to power up and away from myself. hitting the collective to get away from the ground and completing the flip with up elevator will send the heli toward yourself. I really don't like my heli overhead -I always seem to loose orienmtation when it gets there!
Of couse Nutz has his brave cameraman to consider - I don't advise standing that side of my heli when I am inverted just yet!

I am trying to nail a slow inverted pyro hover on the sim bit it is still shakey.

I'm building up to a pyro flip. I can get one fairly stable one on the sim - I'm very comfortable with putting a half pyro into the flip out from inverted nose in so it ends nose out right way up. I might just try that one for real tonight.
But my rappy is on its first flight after an expensive bashing trying to auto so I'll probably end up stooging about for 4 tanks!

Hey I don't look constipaited anymore,,,,,,,,I am a lot more relaxed and deering in my flying now.

It's looks a lot lower form where I was standing as the guy with a death wish took the pic form from down on deck.

I thought the engine sounded a bit tinny yesterday, when I went to burn the engine out of fuel before packing, I found the plug was blowen (original plug from new), so I put a new one in and burned the engine out of fuel.
When I got home I decided to drop the engine out to inspect the bearing and even though it was smooth to turn and looked OK it felt a bit loose and had a small amount of up and down play which could just about been seen with the crank is in there. I decided that I am going to change the bearings before it gets worse. I have already put my spare Hyper in and I am going to the field in around a hour to try it out.

you inspired me there nutz, went down the field last night with the 450se and was practising my static flips that to be honest arnt that static and a couple of times I held it inverted, only until it started to tip then flipped it back but there was definately a slight inverted hover, for a second or two.

how exilarating was that though woohoo!!!

I even came out of one loop about a foot off the deck and DIDN'T bin it.

shame about the plank I ditched 20mins before hand if it had been soley mine I wouldnt have cared as it didnt fly that well anyway, but I shared it with a mate so I feel bad for him.
                              All the best

Thats what I like to Sesame,,,,,,, well not the plank part, but that is how you start half flip, hold it, when you feel uncomfotable follow through with another half flip to you rnormal hovering posisition.

I did a wall with my T450 V2 at the beginning of the week, it was a low wall but I did not think ahead about my exit and it fell fast tail first towards the ground, I managed to put the nose forward to level her and slammed in all the pos pitch on the collective but I knew it was going in so hit the throttle hold. When I looked at the damage I thought it was just the main shaft I had damaged. I took the main and feather shaft out to replace them yesterday but neither were bent so I stuck them back in and I am going to fly it today.

Not bad having 0% damage crashing on short grass.
