Trex CDE ESC placement

Just putting the finishing touches to my CDE (been sitting on the shelf half built for over a year ), where is the best place for the ESC, on the side frames near the motor, or strapped underneath.

Most of the pictures I've found are for the SE. I will probably upgrade to the new side frames eventually, but not till I've broken this one.

Also, is there an upgrade piece for extending the battery tray ??, or can someone point me in the right direction to buy some carbon fibre sheet so I can cut one out myself.

Not impressed by the canopy either, but I've seen other posts regarding this. Time to borrow the girlfriends hairdryer me thinks !!!.

Hi Simon i'd say on the side with heatsink facing out ;-)
