that would be why my gears stripped front and rear at boxhill 3D tryout when I did an auto into long grass when the ESC cut out. They also stripped in my crash that is on rcheli-vids.com.

Sorry but running full whack and carving a piece of wood really isn't putting much strain on the gears, it's sudden stops or grass getting wound round tail rotors and stopping it suddenly that strips gears.

I know they are weak but we thought the vid was cool

I was more impressed with the tail blades personally

I have never been a fan of gear tail drives for there meshing a durability. But I hear good things about the Align Torque Tube.

Which is better the tube or the belt?

I think the belt has more drag but is harder to damage over the tube.

I dont really like them but at least the Align one will be quite cheap to fix when the time comes

I prefer belts myself but am quite happy to have a Torque tube 50

According to Robbe, they are shipping this week from Align so should be in UK midweek next week as coming via Airfreight

At a push we may see them by next Fri or failing that, the week after for sure

I dont mind the wait,i am gonna be busy for the next few days anyway so it would only sit in its box.
