    The 6S 4800 is 150 excluding VAT.
The Balancepro charger I'm not sure, bought mine ages ago, roughly probably £120ish others who bought more recently may have a better idea.

130 euros from towerhobbies in the us, and with the awesome exchange rate at the moment it works out to be £90 including express shipping.

right im gonna drag this thread back up again. im tempted by the balancepro 6s, however i want something with a display to be able to read how much ive used and how much is going in. I was chatting with the fella who owns my local model shop, and he said that the v-balancer works the same as the balancepro (when connected to a 6s charger obviously) in that it charges each cell individually. im really not that keen on a charger that i cant see what its doing without connecting it to a pc. What other options do i have?

Don't say this to Mike at Aurorra! The V Balancer does not charge each cell individually, it discharges the higher voltage cells through a resistance to level the cell voltages. A far as I can ascertain, only the FMA chargers actually charge each cell individually but the Balancepro doesn't have an LCD readout, as you say, which makes it less attractive to me.

I'm using a Robbe Power peak Infinity 3 charger which has a large LCD display and teamed up with the Robbe 6S Equalizer balancer it monitors each individual cells voltage during the charge. The manual with the balancer says something about adjusting the current to each cell during the charge but it also appears to route excess voltage through a resistance, although it never gets above warm, unlike my V Balancers hich got hot enough to melt their plastic bases! The problem with this charger/balancer setup is the pricetag, £190 for the charger and £30 for the balancer although the balancer in particular seems to be sold by quite a few sources in slightly different cases and with different lipo connectors.

you can connect the balancepro to your pc and it will graph the whole charge for you, showing each indvidial pack voltage, mah into each cell and overall mah. It also shows the charge % and the voltage of each cell during the charge.

Yes, but I carry enough cr*p when I go flying anyway, without adding a laptop! I'm all for gadgets but I prefer my charger to tell me how much has gone back into a pack as most chargers in this price range do. Hopefully this should be sorted within the next 6 months or so.

my thoughts exactly. its great at home, but at the field it will be far from ideal. are there any plans for a new version or a display module?

The Cellpro 4S already has this function and I believe FMA are well aware of the requirement for this to be added, so I expect they will react to the market, time scales wise I don't know.

For the melting pot, what do people know about the Graupner Ultra Duo Plus 30 ? If I understand the specification (in doubt coz I'm and engineer not an electrician) seems to offer balanced charging and read out. Sorry to re light the thread, I didn't need a charger until now.

It seems quite a reasonable charger for the money, charging up to 10S lipo packs but it [I]isn't[I] a balance charger, you would have to use a completely seperate balancer, like the V Balancer or similar to level the packs.

ive decided to bite the bullet, and tomorrow ill be ordering a pair of revolution 4900mAh 6s lipos and a balancepro 6s charger. does the charger come with the lead and software to connect it to the pc, or do i have to purchase it separately, i cant find any info on the aurorra site about this.
