450-v2 head damper preload

Hi, My dampers only lasted 2 flights, when I whet to fit new dampers I noticed that there was no preload on them. The head block is 17.00mm wide and the gap between the aluminium spaces is 17.20mm. My old SE has a gap 14.20mm, which would give a preload of 2.8mm on the dampers.

I have measured the aluminium spaces / bearings / shims & dampers and they all match up to the sizes on the Align web site. It looks like they have machined the outer bearing holes to deep in the blade grips.

Has anyone else hade this problem?

The std damping on the V2 is a little soft so many of us have stiffened in up, there has already been a thread on here some where about it, there is a Synergy bearing spacer which is 2mm thick and does the job nicely.
Washers would do the job ok as well.

Thanks For the information Bob, I will make some 2mm spaces this will give me the same preload as the old SE head with the narrow 1.5mm spaces.
