Starting to like the 450

Having finally solved the tail problem on my 450 XL (CSM rule), I started to actually look at how she flies.

The actual bird is as smooth as silk but control has been 'wooly' to say the least.

I don't think the Align servos help but these came with it so until the necessary readies are there I'll stick with them.

Anyway, I digress. I had 35% expo on the Aileron and Elevator. Took 5% off them and a lot of the 'wooly' behaviour has been dialed out.

Well pleased and will try another 5% tonight.

Hopefully at the weekend I can try something more than just hovering around.

I am finally realising what the fuss over the Trex is all about. For quick fly and hover they are great.

Still want a 50 size Nitro though.

Anyone know of any?

Try dropping it to 15 or 20%. I was struggling with my T-rex at 30% expo until someone suggested that dropping the expo more would make it easier. It did - all the "vaugeness" went and I am much more confident with it now
It's now at 10%.

I love my Trex 450SE its a little on the skittish side no expo fast servos loads of movment, but boy is it fun. mate of mine whos been learning with me hovered it for the first time last night and was impressed with how well it hovered. I think their a great machine.

IVe got a Raptor 60 up for grabs if your interested (shamless plug)

no its just the airframe and an OS60 engine, I do have a GWS gyro that ill give with it but its not that great to be honest would be better off with a nice shiny new 401
