  • 600N Full package?

What would the full package be?
Strange question, maybe, but what else would you need?
I saw a package that looked like this:

    Painted Canopy
    3K Carbon Fibre frame
    3K Fin set
Torque Tube with metal tail box
A full set of basic parts
    OS 50HYPER/ALIGN 50 HYPER
    ALIGN 50 Silencer
    New style 6A BEC
    Electron ignition device (starter)
    7.4V1800 LP

    No price though.

But with the addition of the Gyro, Rx, servos etc, you're in over a grand, no? Are there any complete packages being mentioned yet?

    Hi

Align have not yet released the price on the Combo versions or the motor or muffler yet so no one can quote confirmed prices.

    Cheers

The combo packages are not coming out yet just the kits only

£370 for the pro and £250 a month later for the belt one

Prices are comparable to all the competition

To put it into perspective, the Pro version is still cheaper than the joke of a Raptor 50Se which is belt driven, plastic and outdated

The G10 one will be cheaper than the Knight 3d and will easily fly as well and is of similar like for like spec

        Thanks guys.

I don't think I will get one yet. Need to master (well, need to fix, and then master) my 450SE, but I am unhappy with the flight times you get. So maybe Nitro is the way to go.

Does the 600E give any better flight duration? Maybe those prices will drop pretty soon, and I can stay with electric, and improved flight time? Or is the N the only way to go right now to achieve closer to 10/15 minutes?

6s lipos are dropping fast in price

www.auorra.co.uk has some 4800 ones at £170 and they are very good

www.electrolite.eu has some 4200 ones at £125 and some 4800`s coming next month at £135

Flight duration is still an issue though but it can only improve

Hence my longing for the Nitro one

With a Nitro, I assume you're looking at >10 minutes flight?

With Nitro you just land, fuel and go fly again.

To me its a no brainer for a learner.

I flew 4 flights in 2 hours the weekend before last. To do that with an electric you either need 4 batteries (cost a bit) or a hefty recharger.

              Just my opinion.

              Cheers

No issues with motors over heating or anything like that?
Looks like my wife IS going to skin em alive then.. but I hope it's worth it.

If the mixture errs on the rich side the engine should not get overly hot.

Finger should be able to be held on the back plate of the engine for a few seconds without burning.

With that setup you could fly all day.

Just make sure your RX battery is up to the job.

                  I use 2400 mAH sub C nicads.

With my Raptor 50 (OS 50 non hyper engine) I get around 8-9 minutes of flying. Consisting of gentle circuits, loops and stall turns.

Nitro 30 - you'll get around 15 to maybe 20 minutes on a tank... 30's are not very thirsty at all, but they lack power.
Nitro 50 - about 10 minutes - plenty of power.
                      Nitro 90 - about 6 to 7 minutes - ooooooodles of power

A well tuned engine will not run hot. The backplate finger test (if feasible) is a good indicator of how rich or lean the mixture is. I can normally hold my finger on the backplate of my Evo 50 after a 3D flight for a good 10 seconds before it starts feeling very warm.
The backplate test may not be feasible if the engine has a pump fitted in the backplate space...
                      Cheers,

The difference in nitro /electric is not the flight duration but the fact that you can fuel up and fly again immediately.

With the trex450 4 batteries and 2 chargers are required to get near that.

With the big electric then there is a lot of power to put into the battery so after a few charges your leasure battery or car will be flat. you can charge loads of 450 batteries on your car and still get home.

Maybe you have mains to your flying field cabin?

I haven't got my nitro sussed yet. so far its 2-3 flights and fix what went wrong (no actual partes needed yet tho). The trex keeps flying until it hits the deck (unfortunately quite often due to the pilot getting more confident).

The parts you listed included a lipo rx battery and BEC step down. You don't really need that to start with but maye it works out lighter than a normal heavy duty rx pack and lasts longer. You can have several normal rx packs - they are not expensive. The servos work hard in a heli and you need to recharge the rx pack after a few flights - so its not fuel and go every time.

Like Leebert my .50 tank lasts about 10 mins.
