They hold at full chat while the heli is being thrown about wildly so hovering is no problem

    Cralis

You could always put a lower tooth pinion on the motor to reduce headspeed a bit

Although saying that,i have just watched your video and it sounds fine

          Thanks!
This heli flying is FUN! But I need to un-tense! I'm shaking when I am finished a flight. Had one close shave... I was taking off at the front of the garden, and then hovering and drifting about. Towards the back of the garden, life got a bit tricky. I never realised it was very gusty there, and I was protected by the house where I was standing.

And the wind lifts the heli a lot!

But, it's more stable than I thought in the wind (used to the Lama), and the Gyro is great!

May have damagaed a battery though. Went down to 8%

get yourself a warning siren for it.

I got one of these http://customidea.com/shop/product_i...roducts_id=102

when the battery gets to a preset level a red light shows and it bleeps at you, I have it set that when it starts bleeping ive used about 70%, but normally I stop the flight befor the buzzer comes on.
            All the best
            Tony.

I am trying to be really careful with my 6s Lipos because of the cost

I am not worried about the 3s ones as they are now around £30 so even if i only get 30 cycles i am happy,so i also cane them

I'm a poor guy, trying to be in a rich mans hobby. To me, £30 batteries are pretty pricey...

I'm hoping I get more than 30 cycles... I paid good dosh for mine, and I did about 6 flights today - on 2 batteries... so these better last.

I guess running them low isn't a great start for them though..

What 3s ones do you run?

It's normal to get tense by the way. Your concentration levels will be VERY high at the moment as you are learning to hover. The good news is it will get easier and the more REAL stick time the easier it will get. just stick as many battery packs in as you can.

We all get tense when we are learning new manoures and orientations. I started to get inverted down lower and I can assure you tense was a word to describe the feeling. But a real rush when I'd finished.

Aye, nearly smashed again. May have a problem though. Flew for about 6 minutes, put the battery on the Cell Pro 4s charger, and it said 4%! After 6 minutes??

Would these work in my heli:

Yes they are Cellpro compatible, but why go 4s?

The 450Se with the 430l motor and standard esc should do 9 mins hovering on a 2100 Lipo with the 12 tooth pinion

I get nearer 6min 30 with the same set up on my 2150 FP pack but it's a bit more than hovering (but not much - generally circuits, figure 8s and slow piros when I want to challange myself)
                                Cheers, Lee.
