just picked up my t-rex today version x cde, what servos have you been puting in these helis, and what tail servo do you recommend, going to have a gy401 fitted as the gyro?

CCPM servos (3) = Hitec HS56 or HS65
Tail servo = Futaba 3154 or 3153 or 9650 - or Robbe FS 61 BB.
401 is the right choice too!

3 qty HS65 or HS65MG for CCPM and a 9650 to go with the 401.

on the subject of electronics, all the micros ive had so far had single conversion rx receivers instead of dual conversion,

what receiver is small enough for these helis but dual conversion?

BTW im not going the specturm route just yet cant afford it at the moment.

I think Futabas mini R148DP is a dual conv PCM rx. It's worth checking the size though.
Other than that, there is a Futaba 146iP. It's not dual conv but it fits and I have one which has had no problems.
Shulze and Hyperion also do PPM DSP receivers.

Hitec electron is dual conversion also, but you must use a hitec dualcon xtal or it wont work a futaba one will not work in it either!
