flew 4 batts out today after work. We're nearly there on the daylight, but its still not worth getting the rappy out after work
Its rwally true what I read on raptortechnique - the learning is on the 2nd flight onwards.
first two batts spent mainly doing left and right circuits with some stall turns and flips until I was finally starting to relax.
2nd and third flight I stopped upside down for a bit for the first time for real.
All i need to do now is tune out my helis tendancy to pull to one side when elevator is applied. Its not me on the sticks its a slight phasing error.
so I want a little bit of right aileron mixed in with up elevator - and the appropriate other mixes to correct that phasing error.
So on my FF7 I have a p mix going 2 > 1 (elevator to aileron).
Now I have two positive figures of 10%. Maybe I need a positive and a negative?
I guess I need to make the percrents big so I can see the effect on the swash and then reduce them back down - but maybe someone who has done these mixes can tell me how to get it right?
It goes up and down on collective dead square by the way.
In fact I'm starting to beleive it flies really nicely.
Alternatively the anti rotation post on my superframe is screwed to an ali cross bar and I could slot the holes and move it sideways to correct the phasing error mechanically.
Pnoenix has really helped so when the heli crews out sideways or I power out at a strange angle from a crooked inverted hover the strange orientation doesn't create disorientation panic.
Just hope that remark doesn't cause an instant smash up next time out!
