  • Blade damage

How damaged must blades be before you replace them? One of my has a tiny nick on a leading edge. It's really tiny. Hardly visible, but running your finger along the blade reveals it.

I don't think that blade needs replacing, but, how bad shoukd they be ebfore you swop em out?

If in any doubt, chuck them out!!!

Personally I've always replaced blades that have any defect in them near or close to the root or if I felt that the damage may not be visible.

However, if its more of a blemish than physical damage then you should be okay.

    Cheers

      here here

ANY damage more than cosmetic, or even you dont have an idea of how it occured I would change them.

As an example ive got a mark on my rappy 60 blades looks more like a scratch not sure where it came from but I would rather change them because that scratch could be a crack.
      All the best

compared to the good blade try flexing it and bending it. If it makes any crunchy noises or is more flexible in any way they get rid.
I had a blade that looked ok but twisting it revealed that it was split at the trailing edge, which was hard to see otherwise.
This is good for trex450 blades - but with bigger heli blades they are very stiff, and its probably harder to tell if they are damaged!
