Trex Gyro Location

Just installing a GY401 on my T-Rex450SE

I know most people put the gyro on top of the tail clamp block, but has anyone put it inside the frames on the base platform?

Does the proximity of the motor and ESC cause problems to the gyro?

Yeah, you can put it between the frames, but you'll have problems adjusting the pots. If it is an SE, the MicroHeli gyro mount (http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/cg...MH_2dTX4001LGM) is a good investment. Failing that you can always put it under the frame, between the skids and just hope you don't have any heavy landings.
