anyone got rear tail servo pics

can any of u guys/gals post pics of your rear tail servos mounted on your 450s. i am about to mount my s9650 onto my 450 se. just wanted some clear images to see what others have done..

Hiya Mate,

I don't recomend that you do what I did and try to drill another hole as it resulted in the servo tabs splitting. The reason I done this was to try and allow the servo to sit as far up on the mounting as possible and allow it to be aligined better on the T-REX.

What I ended up doing and what my advice to you would be is to use the top hole on the servo for mounting and use the standard align tail servo holders with a longer bolt and a washer on the servo side. I ended up making some little alloy strengtheners for my servo which I glued to the servo tabs. You don't need to do this though just rake through the spare bolts you have from the T-REX kit and find two that will go through the servo and mount with some thread left. Then add a washer on the servo tab side and you should be done. Here is a pic of my efforts.

Mine is clamped to the boom using the side mounts on the servo and longer screws.

hi thanks for replies..i check various forums..so many variations..but pleased with finla setup...gives a perfect true straight line from servo to tail pitch...better finish building rest of heli now
