Scorpion 55a ESC GOV mode

Guys

Just fitted the 55a esc and -6 motor to my 450 with 11t pinion.

Going through the esc setup stages and now at the GOV stage.

Few questions (forgive me for being thick!):

1. Is it best to use the GOV mode (I want this thing flat out balistic)

2. If not, can I disable the GOV mode

3. If its advisable to use the GOV mode, at what setting?

Any advise on this ESC is very welcome guys.

mje is the cheaper 55a with no governor and I just run it flat out 100%, (13T with the -8).
Power is adequate

Not sure, depends on if you want consistant gyro gain settings GOV is a compromise in it should give reliable headspeed to a target value, but at the expense of not having the peddle all the way down to the floor.

2. If not, can I disable the GOV mode

Yes, it can be enabled and disabled using the IR remote control.

3. If its advisable to use the GOV mode, at what setting?

You usualy set the gov rpm to allow for some headroom above the target RPM in order for the gove to ask for more power when the RPM starts to drop, so you would say set a 90% straight line throttle curve to allow for a bit more to be asked of the ESC and motor to allow for loading the RPM.
