If u tried moving the ball on the rod , everything is running silky smooth on the tail, changed the main shaft, ran higher headspeed, lowered your gain etc etc then id say check your tail feathering shaft. Is the problem all the time or does it just show up at certain times ie like when you bring it into a hover or when the headspeed changes in some way???

    Cheers

When does the wag appear?..Is it slow/fast or wind related etc idle up only?

The boom clamp is pretty naff..loose boom stay end or clamp not tight enough and moving around..give it a GOOD side to side pull? If it moves fix it..a thin bit of Wet and Dry paper super glued into the 'U' does wonders

Wrong type of gyro tape used, tape gone soft/torn/not sticky and gyro about to drop off?.

Binding/stiff tail linkage??..tail servo mount or servo not secured.

Excessive headspeed for Gyro gain used and/or servo horn length to long.

Battery or similiar up front not properly secured and moving around,

Will try and sort out the boom. adjusted the belt the other day and i'm sure the boom moved back to its original position. will also re-attach the gyro again. Thanks for all the help.

          Hi DaveD,
Have a look over at my last post in the gyro thread (link beow) and check you've not made the same mistake since your rebuild. With my older Gyro, i was gettng the same problem as you but with the newer more sensitive one, the wag was VERY pronounced.

I had the tail blades running clockwise instead of anti clockwise and that was basically the problem.

Might not be, but something else to check before you loose your insanity. Its not immediately obvious either unless you've got right back to basics.
