  • A mess of wires...?

    Hey guys,

Now i've got my 450 all together, I'm not really at all happy with all the wires. As they are it looks messy and possibly dangerous (main gear fowling etc) and I wanna get this sorted before I fly her.

Was wondering if anyone had pics/advice on how they managed the wires on their 450 (SE V2)?

I've put the receiver inside the rear of the frame, gyro under the boom (as shown in the manual) and the ESC on the mount under the battery mount. I think this is, location wise, ok - but trying to tidy all the wires is insane. Is the best bet to cut them to length and re-solder them together?

    Any advice is appriciated! Thanks!

if you do a search on this site, and the many others out ther dedicated to the TRex (just google Trex 450) you will find 100's of pics which will give you ideas on how others have gone about doing it.

Here is good place to start:

Use some spiral wrap to tidy up.

Personally I would not cut to length - more to go wrong unless you are really good at it.

I'd not worry about it too much.

As long as it can't get sucked in anywhere and its not interfering with anything it's ok.

Might look untidy but it's more annoying when you crash if you've spent a shedload of time tarting it up

I agree ... I tie wrap mine out the way instead of spiral wrapping it as its pita unwrapping later to change a servo or something ... Mine get flown ... Not to look pretty lol ....
