Advice on Blade Balancer for trex 500 DFC

Recently finished my first heli build a 500 dfc and read about balancing blades hence my subject. Although I am still not sure whether I need to balance blades or not.

Any advice/thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the thread I started about balancing rotor blades. The balancer I have will do various sizes of blades aswell.

I have only ever balanced one set of blades in the six years ive been in this hobby and that was because they werent a matched set. Blades are balanced by the manufacturer but thats not to say the odd set wont be balanced. Id just fit them and if you have a vibration then check them out.

I used to be really obsessed with making sure my blades were balanced.. now I just don't bother, just bolt them on and go fly. Not had any problems at all.

If they were so unbalanced to cause a problem then they're probably defective blades.

The only blades I've had to balance was odd align 325ds where I crashed and a blade has survived.
Really wouldn't bother otherwise, fly it and check for vibs ie look at the skids and tail fin.

Hi Tony, you might not remember me, I met you at the SCHA flying field in Winsford with my Mcpx. You had your TSA nitro with you. First time I had ever seen a heli doing 3D in real life.

It is Pete, yeah. Soon, as I need you guys to run your eye over my newly built the 500. Would rather experience is around me when I attempt to spool it up with the blades attached.
