  • Align AP800 digital pitch gauge thoughts

So I am awaiting delivery of my first large heli, the T-Rex 500 DFC. As such I am sourcing all the setup tools and have been looking at the Bevel Box and the Align AP800.

AP800 Digital Pitch Gauge HET80001 Model Helicopters

Digital Angle Gauge / Protractor / Inclinometer / Bevel Box + Leather Pouch & Batteries: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

Question is, is the Align unit better for use on a large heli as it has the fitment as part of the design whereas the Bevel Box needs to have something made to allow it to fit to the blades.

    The prices very similar also.

    Thanks for your thoughts

I have an Align gauge but I don't find it very accurate.

But I did finally find something an iPhone is good for.

The AP800 is the better option as it can be used on any heli from a 250 up. The Bevel box is a bit to bulky and awkward to use, in my opinion.

Anyway, I have a AP800 I don't use so if you'd like it then pm me your address and I'll get it in the post. (no charge)
