Align APS system

Hi can anybody help I have an align 3gx with align APS system having problems setting up can anybody help in County Durham area.

Hi Ian with being new on forums was not sure how they work now I get it post a add and wait for reply I have a 600e pro heli a DX8 radio with align servos, 3gx with upgrade version 4.0 and a align APS with V1.3 version you get as far as gyro setup then it will not let you set the gyro on YouTube the video is with Futaba radio but not sure of settings with a spectrum DX8 do you know anybody who has set an align APS system up and do you know anybody in County Durham area that's where I live I have tried clubs near me but no one has set one up before.

Hey Paul.

The Align APS, while a good stability and GPS unit, is not particularly popular I don't think and so it can be difficult to get help on setting them up. I've done 4 APS's now and even I still sit down and take my time with them, as you can get into problems.

With regard to the differences between the Futaba used in the video and your DX8, essentially the setup steps are the same the only differences is the terminology between the two different transmitters, as they work the same by supplying the 3GX/APS with control signals.

You need to follow through the base 3GX DIR settings stages, this is the base of the flybarless unit to operate and the APS unit then works alongside these. Just make sure you gyro gain switch is putting the 3GX/APS into 3GX mode only for now, denoted by the colour of the status LED.

I would run through the stages a few times in your head and then start to work on the model with the manual beside you, following the steps through in order.
