When blade does this everyone cusses and swears at them lol. It's similar in computers. Microsoft make a mistake and it's bill gates this Microsoft that cuss cuss. If apple make a boo boo it's soon covered up and forgotten...
For those of you who are stuck with one stock pack waiting on the arrival of more stock,
I've been working on an alternative. The Turnigy Nano tech 300mAH 45C packs from HobbyKing Turnigy nano-tech 300mah 2S 45~90C Lipo Pack (UK Warehouse) which
a lot of people use with their MCPX BL.
Weights (approx as using kitchen scales
Stock pack: 17g Max current (.25 * 30C) = 7.5A - £7 each
Nano tech: 18g Max current (.3 * 45C) = 13.5A - £2.83 each
They are a bit narrower but a similar length and they snug but will fit in the landing gear. There may be a problem with
side-side movement so I made a little 'wedge' from foam to eliminate movement.
If you make up a convertor from JST-XH on the ESC end with either female JST-XH or JST on the battery end. Unscrew the
ESC connector from the skids and tuck it under the RX or wherever you can fit it and plug in the convertor lead. I made
mine way too long as you can see but a shorter lead could be neatly zip tied to the skids out of the way.
I've not tried this yet because the swash is broken but I'm fairly confident it'll work. Anyway, just an option -
I'm going to make a shorter JST-XH male - JST-XH female convertor and have the option to run either.

You should try and keep the battery in the middle, it could affect C.O.G and throw the fbl controller. Heli only weighs 53g so 18g offset just a few millimeters will make a difference.
