maybee you have alot of interaction i did with my 450 at full pitch, have you seen how to check for this with a little bubble level on the paddles it shows you on the vids you mention? like your all set up nice at 0 pitch then at say +10 the swash has tipped one direction? your flybar shudnt be twisting while just adding pitch.
or you will need to adjust your endpoints maybee.

Just before I do this am I right in thinking that at mid-stick the rear servo arm should be facing upwards towards the boom and the tail rotor blades should be at mid position so the blades line up with no pitch difference?

just a thought you have got the blades on the right way and the belt twisted right.??
as they turn anticlockwise the leading edge of the front blade should rise towards the disc!
sounds like your belt is twisted wrong edison.
yes servo arm straight up at right angle to the boom, and the crank at the rear of the boom square to the boom and tail!

as phil says above that is your best corse of action!

Hi Ron,yes the belt was twisted the wrong way but not anymore.Just got to try to suss out how to stop the spinning round on the ground ant-clockwise.
I set the servo in normal mode so the arm is pointing up towards the boom mid point acheived and the tail rotor was at mid spindle ( will the rotors be perfectly in line or slightly out at this point?).Now I think I have to move the servo mount up/down the boom to set something called neutral position so it stops the spinning. Is this done in avsc mode or normal mode I say this cos when I put it in avsc mode the servo will always creep to one end after the stick is moved! or even when nothing is moved.Getting there slowly people thanks to your patience and help I do appreciate it.

              This won't beat me.......
I got the mid point of the servo in rate mode,I then got the mid point on the tail rotor spindle so the blades are almost in line.
When I power up in HH mode the tail rotor moves all the way out ward away from the boom without me doing anything. This means I cannot go any further out in HH mode for it to adjust itself in flight and the blades do not have much pitch at full stick in either direction. Also I cannot get it to go the full length of the spindle either way.
1/ Is the rod the wrong length?
2/ The gyro light stays on in both rate and HH mode is this not good?
3/ Why does the servo arm always creep towards the tail and how do I stop it?
4/ On the gyro it has a limit dial,it is on 100 should it be more?
5/ How do I get it to travel the full length of the spindle?
6/ When I have done all this hopefully it will stop trying the cork-screw itself into the floor.....

Really really sorry guys,I have watched all the bob's vids over and over and I even understand what he is saying but he is using a 401 gyro and mine is a 400 gyro, and he can set his up from his TX where as mine has no option to do so like his.I have reversed and un reversed, put the limit up to 140,changed the dir from rev to norm and visa versa the poor heli has got 2 hours flight time and never left the floor.

List of things used just in case one is not compatable
