  • Lower canopy clip

On my Trex canopy, the bracket that slides over the skids is VERY stiff and every time I take it off or put in back on, It's so tight, it cracks the canopy. Has anyone had the same happen to them?

      Mine was overly tight too.
I just dremelled a little bit of the "point" off the clip to make it easier to install & remove. (Just a little bit!!)

It's much easier now & no sign of it letting go in fast backwards flight.

        Mines really tight as well.
I release the pegs at the top, and then pop the bottom clip off with my thumb.
It`s been on and off loads of times and hasn`t cracked.
If you just pull it I guess you run the risk of cracking it.

And at nearly £50, their reassuringly expensive

I filed the clip edge down a bit and slid and glued a piece of lexan inside the canopy where the clip is screwed .. just to renenforce the weak spot...
