HI could anyone please give me any ideas to speed up cyclic response .Thanks and happy new year to all.

Lighter paddles, and faster servos. Go the lighter paddles route and you will sacrifice some stability in the hover etc.
Buy some Curtis Youngblood stubz these are supposed to speed up cyclic response sacrificing little stability. Never flew mine which i have on my knight 3d yet so i cant tell ya if thats true or not.

You can max out your end points on the cyclics but it will be very sensitive to fly. And you gotta make sure ya dont bog the head by having too much angle.

Put align carbon paddles on that helps, and up the revs as high as you dare, made a big difference to mine, still not as fast as my electric 600 though, even with exactly the same set up. Think this is just due to the nitro being heavier.

first before all the above get the longer flybar with the standard paddles smooth and stable but quick on the rolls/flips

Depends on what you are after, there are two things, roll rate, and roll responce (same with elevator)

Roll rate is the maximum rate it can roll once the servos have moved to full left or full right, and is down to things like the weight of the paddles, the weight of the blades, the design of the blades, the inertia of the helicopter, and the headspeed.

Responce is down to the speed of the servos, the torque of the servos, and the inertia in the system.

So, you may not need faster servos if all you are after is a higher roll rate, but if you want quicker responce, faster and stronger servos are what you need.

              Or do both.

                Edders,

I want to increase the responsiveness of a sub-micro hummingbird electric heli, the flybar is 2mm carbon rod. So if I fit a longer flybar, will that make it more responsive to ail/elev functions?
                regards
