  • Tail wag issue solved with a simple proven idea

    Hi guys

As some of you might be aware of the issue with the thrush washers in the tail giving people tail wags on there trex 600n as they are crap and the outer thrush was the same size as the inner one making them bind inside and giving some people wagging problems.

Well iv also has this issue and i have been doing some hunting around and found loads of people having this problem and how they have been solving it, either buying new tail grips with new bearings or buying new thrush washers to put in the tail grips and some still not being able to cure this problem.

So iv looked a bit closer at the thrush bearings and found that there the same size as the rear sealed bearing, so i looked in my box of spares and found some bearings for my old raptor 50 tail and they was new in a packet and guess what? there the same size.

So now i have the same bearings in the front and rear, so there is no longer any thrush washers in the tail grips and now i have a solid tail and no more wag and the tail feels solid and i now have faith in it again YAY .

so anyone having this problem with the wag on there tail just get some sealed bearings from a raptor 50 tail grips and swap them for the thrush washers and job done alot cheaper than buying new tail grips

except you will get the same problems as the standard align tail, which is the radial bearings locking up under load. The thrust bearing tail was introduced to fix this problem.

The best fix I've found is to run the Quick UK tail, fit, forget, fly.

So is this the same part as is now fitted to the 600E?

I've just swapped my old tail grips for the new thrust raced set

I was using a Quick UK Rappy tail but pulled it off as I was constantly worried about the tail over travelling and locking up...

            Only fitted yesterday and unflown.

I'm tempted to refit the Quick UK parts without bothering after reading this...

I fitted the Quick UK tail just over a weeks ago as I'd had chronic problems with a JR 770/8900g combo and started with the gain at 28% with the old tail, now upped to 41% with the Quick UK upgrade, it really makes a big difference and all I had to do was swap them over That and spend £40 but at least I can truly claim it's not just bling

I am getting this wag on both my 600N`s and have read about the fixes..

I heard that shaving a bit off the inside of the bladegrip where the bearings seat will also cure it..Failing that i was gonna go for the Quick Uk tails also...
