Hi all, just looking to find out what the general concensus is on this question, i'm thinking about ditching my regulators to tidy up a couple of my helis (a lot less wires and less failure points) and replacing with a direct LiFe cell arrangement. i'm running 3gx, align 610's/650's. All pros and cons? Thanks.

This is looking promising, cant see any down sides to this yet, the fact you can run them flat without damaging them really appeals"where's that Chinook gone????"

But if you ran them till flat you'd be fooked!
Im loving mine, you can charge a pack in no time at all with a good charger. The hyperion range of life packs are really good. Its nice just leaving them on the heli's

My only issue is that you can't check them with a load tester, they just die. There is ways round that but I'm lazy and cba trying to work it out lol

I use on my 700N and I much prefer the simplicity of this setup. Only downside, as stated above, is that it's a bit harder to know how much charge is left in the battery. Not a big deal though really -just make sure you are a bit conserative with the number of flights per charge.

Changed all mine over to LiFe cells, and everything seems fine. As stated, you can charge them really quickly with a decent charger.Cheers,
Simon
