Trex 700 gasser

Anybody have any news on whats happening with align trex700 gasser ?

I dont think align makes a 700 gasser, but i know century rc has a trex 700 gasser conversion kit for a zenoh 23cc engine, and lynx heli innovations has a gasser specific clutch and liner!!

I too was waiting for Align to bring out a 700 gasser it was on their to do list

but i supose with the electric buzz thats now the fashion it aint going to happen

Why not go with the Helibug gasser conversion kit for the T-Rex 700 - its really excellent. Just shout if you need more info.

i have a gasserman trex600 conversion and a radikal g20 but i may part with the trex 600 to help fund a raptor 90 3d. i miss my raptor 90, it was just the cost of fuel that put me of nitro heli

I looked at the heli bug conv a while back. Would be good if Align put some time into the project.

When align played with the gasser idea it appeared that they stumbled over the vibration problems gassers can give. I'd guess that align's principles are more to hit a potentially large market..or indeed create a new mass market (like the 550's etc) which are easier R&d and quicker return. The gasser market is still small.. which in itself wouldnlt stop Align.. but it's also a market where it's not going to be easy to bring out a machine flown by pro's that can make it throw itsef aroudn in hard 3D, look cool and persuade folk they 'need one'. That and that align would like to have an OEM badged engine etc to go into it and most performance gassers end up needing ported and modded power plants...

Let's face it bringing out a leccy is relatively simple, even bringing out a nitro isnlt that hard...just the cooling and clutch/drive issues: beyond that it's just another pod and boom..and Align DO have a track record of simplifying design, sexing it up and designing so manufacture is cheaper..and needs lots of 'cheap' spare parts...
