  • TRex 700N Starter Stack

I haven't taken it apart to have a look yet, but I had some intermittent issues with the starter stack on my 700 this afternoon.

Is there a one-way bearing in there somewhere?

If so, mine needs replacing I think.

It will be the one in the clutch.

..or the cup slipping on the shaft.

the oneway bearing is in the clutch shoe

i'd fit a quick uk shoe into it and a new start shaft

My first QuickUK constantly slipped, complete PITA.

Budd swapped the OWB out free of charge and it didnt slip once after that

Id definitely go for a QuickUK if possible.

Sounds like grub screws coming loose on the starter cup, so its just spinning on the shaft.

When the clutch goes , it just slips........ usually.

Yup, just press it out with some sockets and a vice.

It's not the cup slipping on the shaft - just checked.

Still haven't had time to get the clutch out tho, so does anyone know the one way bearing size so I can get it ordered?

How come the clutch on Align Trex is so much cheaper than on Midlands etc? I mean it's 1/3rd the price. Is it a copy or something?

They say if it's too good to be true, then it usually is don't they?
