  • Clutch issues.....

Hello all, I had a clutch break a week ago and have replaced it, just got back from the field and couldn't get it started. The starter spins the starter shaft but it only engaged every now and then......is this an issue with the one way bearing???? Or am I missing something??

    HELP!

sound like the one way bearing is shot to me, seen a few of these go on 700's recently. If its a new one send it back for an exchange

Get some brake cleaner and clean out the OWB + shaft.

      Dont use any oil/lube.

I am having the same problem though with the QuickUK clutch I bought. Joke really, considering it cost the best part of £45!

Unfortunately, I bought mine a while ago but only fitted it last week and found out the OWB sucked!

If I was in your position, I would give them a call. Someone else I fly with has the same problems, even the Align OWB is better.

Actually got my quick uk clutch from fastlads, spoke to them 1st, not helpful at all!!!! All he said was "we have never had a problem with them before!" so spoke to Bud at quick uk and he said I must check the starter shaft doesn't look worn and let him know. So dropped the engine and the shaft look fine, no marks, grooves or and damage. Phoned him back and he's sending me a new one in the post tonight. So we shall see!
                Top service from Quick UK!

Well, tell you what the other model shops (fastlads) could learn a thing or 2 from the guys at Quick Uk when it comes to service and support! Bud sent me a new replacement clutch for the faulty one I got from fastlads in the post late yesterday at 5pm and its arrived this morning! Well done Quick Uk!!
