  • 600 EFL PRO Spektrum telemetry/ RPM / Headspeed Help Please

    Hi People,

Im a few weeks down the line with my 600 pro and love it I have recently decided to hook up my telemetry module for voltage monitoring of the main packs.

I have become aware of the brushless RPM sensor and being the enquisative type id love to give it a go.

I assume when this is activated I can then use the governer function on my DX8.

Im fully aware of the governer on the castle but if Im honest I didn't really like it and the ability to alter settings via my TX at the field without a laptop is very appealing.

So my question is this, assuming my facts are correct, has anyone used the brushless variant is it a good solution for governing the headspeed are there any flaws to it?

Whats is the gear ratio/settings i need to use on a trex efl pro super combo, motor gearing all stock (align motor etc)

What is considered a good headspeed I have curently been running a pretty much straight 100% curve (optical tacho read 2450 rpm) for when im in the more agressive 3d mood and around 85% for calmer, more controlled 3d so how would all this translate.

Anyone have any thoughts and advice to get the most out of my equipment.

    Thanks in advance

The DX8 doesn't have a governor function. It just has the ability to monitor your RPM's and display them on screen.

You can use it to control the gain on a governor installed in the heli.
