  • Removing bearings from rjx grips

    Hello,

Has anyone replaced the bearings in a 600 or 700 RJX fbl head? The grips have inserts where the blade bolt and lock nut go but they stop the bearings sliding out. I've tried removing the inserts but can't get them to budge even with but of heat or trying to hammer them out.

    Thanks,
    Dave

The inserts on the end of the blade grips are factory fitted pressed in I think,
I don't think your supposed to remove them, once the bearing is out so far you should be able to lean
it over to so it comes out in between the slot for the blades,
Im sure when I built the rjx head the bearing went in on its side then turned over to the right position
once inside the blade grip then slides down in to place, I have never stripped one though so don't know for sure,
Have you knackered some of the bearings while landing inverted

      He might have done!

Dave sent me this pic earlier and was chuffed to bits with his achievement. Having flown there, I recognise that field for sure as Waterfoot.

      Well done Dave.

It is indeed Steve . He is flying well considering he only started in January with a Raptor 30, passed his Bronze fairly quickly & just keeps pushing on.

          Nice flying dude!

Yeah, just after that pic was taken I was going to get a video and ended up brushing the deck! Call it nerves lol

Head button is fine! Will try get bearings out later by leaning them over.

It was my fault..... I suggested: 'Get low again and I`ll take a picture'...... well, that was that.

              Maybe next time Dave.....

Cracking flying though, really making progress.
