700 quickUK magnetic mounts

I bought a set of these a few months ago, and remembered a note saying they can't be used with v2 canopies, any idea why?

Are there any mods to make them fit?

Probably because the v2 is more angular than the stock cano and the magnets wont sit flat on the mounts?

My opti canopy is a v2 I believe, and that's not fallen off yet
