  • Rolling to the right

My trex 600 flybared has been flying fine for a long time now. but last weekend there was no wind and my Heli was rolling to the right. So I hovered for a minute and checked the trim and it didnt move. Put it on the bench used a swash leveler all fine, so took off again and hovered it all fine, flew forward and it rolled to the right again. I know align suffer with fazing but I have been flying this Heli for ages and never notest this befor. So I was wondering if anyone had any sergestion where I should start looking? If not I might have to stick fbl on it

Do you have the elevator a arm upgrade or the old style long ball and and plastic guide. If you have the old type check the long ball you will see it has worn two flats on the sides this causes the phasing to be even worse than normal, I.e if you do a flip the heli will screw. I call it the align flip lol.
Just replace the long ball and it will be as good as it will get. (it might not look like a lot of wear but its enough).

    Hope this helps

Check all your servos are fine with no back lash, and check you don't have to much slop in any of your ball links.

I think the first thing is to make sure there are no mixes, elev-aile etc, if not then test the servos on the bench, apply a little force with elev input to see if one deflects - it could be a faulty servo that can't hold it.

If it's only ever the right it rolls too, it could be the flybar is reacting perfectly as in it's over reacting, try some weights or move them out.

What happens if you fly backwards ?

Thanks, It is an LE so I think that has got the upgrade you are talking about, I did check the paddles last week but I will have another look, also I will check the servos. I don't know if it dose it backwards or not. I haven't got much time at the field today, so if I don't get a chance to look today you have helped me know where to look when I do

Thanks mate I will have a closer look, I was going to try and swap the servos over and see if it pulls to the left. So far I have checked all the screws and linkages, swapped the blades, swapped the swash and checked the servos still no change. On a punch out it will go straight up but in forward flight it will just cork screw to the right. I'm finding it really hard to motivate myself as I'm loving the 550 fbl, and all I want to do is fly that and not pull my hair out try to solve the mystery roll. Tempted to just stick a vbar on it but I think I will just look at the servos first.

Careful swapping the servos because they get reversed - that is a servo turning clockwise on on side of the heli to push the swash right will also turn clockwise to push right if its on the left (Hope I've explained that)
