700 fbl 3G tail

Had first flight with the 700 today love how it feels apart from the tail, I feels a bit loose to me, is it a case of just more gain?

you can up the gain a little and the stops to that will make it feel more crisp

probly less gain if your using the 3g system i got my gain on 30 and its locked but at 50 it was all over the place. what radio you using and whats the gain?

Dare I say it, dx8 got gain set at 30% And it's in version 2.1 firmware

is that 2.1 on the 3g if so get the version 3 downloaded as ive seen it in action and its pretty damm good
nout wrong with the dx8 LOL not a lot right my opinion

term loose means not enough gain and sloppy stops

Yep sloppy stops will try changing the gain, I'm looking at buying a USB lead for the 3G, fbl all new to me so it's a bit of a learning curve, love the way the cyclic feels though load more response than my 600le with a fb

Hey.

From personal experience I would stay on V2.1, having tried V3 on my 550E and tweeking all the settings I still could not get it feeling as good as I can with V2.1. But the last statement is down to personal preference and if all else fails you can downgrade back to V2.1 as I did.

However the tail feel was marginally better with V3, if you upgrade you will have to run a higher gyro gain on the tail as it's been reduced in the new firmware.

With your current tail issues, how far out is your control ball on the servo arm and also what tail servo are you running?
I prefer to run my balls (oooh'er) closer to centre than the recommened lengths, as this allows me to run a higher gyro gain and get better resolution.

Once you have the PC Lead give me a shout as my 550 settings work very well on the 700's I have since found out.

Hell yh, Ian done my 700 3G, hi mate, and has flown like a dreamboat since... well chufft... 10/10 from this corner lool.....
