had a play yesterday and tried some new settings, they have sped things up nicely, but its to windy for me atm with a new untested setup to be able to set it up as i want. also i have made a new washout driver, slightly heavier than the last but much stronger and drilled a hole in the head as well.

and i got annoyed at looking at the aerial wire sticking out the back of my dm9

Looking good, I just had Align mod the head on my rex whilst I'm over here, looks clean now, they done a good job
I'm sticking with the upper mixers for now as I have it working nicely.

hehe, sos mate, batteries flat, I'll take some when I'm back home on Friday...My mobile doesn't have a macro lens and lacking some battery power too
I had some slop in the washout unit that I'd made which allowed inflight phase variations, that's solid as a rock now
. I have a blurry photo of that:

I've got a Blade CX transmitter aerial on order for my 9XII/Spektrum setup. The aerial has the correct fitting to plug straight onto the board in the module and the lead is long enough to be routed totally internally

nice one Steve only reason i did the hole in the TX case is so i can remove the whole spectrum module and aerial at the field and refit the 35mhz module and aerial quickly.

had a few flights today and well the cyclicks were insane way too fast funny but toooooo fast had the piro start rate at 6000 lol it was rude
still tiz better than slow
gona try 5000 on mode two next with 100% dr and gona also try more hl gain on elevator think i got it at 50 or 60 :P see if it improves the fast forwards flight, other than that and 40% dead band, linier stick, expo on mode two im the same as Trev's

I moved totally over to Spektrum gear before christmas so I'm happy with a more permanent setup but I can understand there are still plenty with 35mhz gear as well (anyone want to buy a nice, low mileage JR PCM receiver
)
I'm trying to go the flybarless route with my Logo but the flybarless heads are out of stock, I'm guessing the importers have been surprised at the huge rise in interest in flybarless systems and I wonder how sales of Cyclocs and 720 gyros are going.Steve H

If I was doing another Logo head, I wouldn't bother with the upgrade kit. At £80, it's taking the p*** for what you get. There's no grips, bearings or spindle included, just the hub parts.
All that's been done is to bolt a ball directly to the blade grip with an extender to remove the delta ofset. It would be easy to mod the washout unit to drive the swashplate.
I've got the gyros in the Trex now, so it'll be tinkering time this weekend

I take your point and I think we've probably had this conversation on another forum! The irritating point is that Revolution are saying that the distributor is out of stock and a guy from Fighttech has posted on another forum that they have loads on the shelves!Originally posted by Tean View PostIf I was doing another Logo head, I wouldn't bother with the upgrade kit. I'm not so sure about modifying the washout unit as the base is plastic and drilling and tapping for grub screws probably wouldn't work, what did you have in mind?Steve H

Yes, it sounded famailiar as I was typing it.
If you leave the drive pins in place, they will take the rotational strain so all that's needed is to stop the base wandering up and down the shaft. If you don't fancy grubscrews in the plastic, a dab of epoxy on the drive pins where they run in the slots would be a simple alternative. Or you could maybe thread the pins and do something with some M2 nuts.
If non of that appeals, a Trex washout base is only £7.50 and you could grubsrew and fit the logo arms to it.Logo14, Logo10, Lipoly, VoyagerE, Mini Titan, Trex600, Logo500, Logo400, Raptor E600, Hurrincane550, Schluter Cheyenne, Kalt Baron 20
