  • Trex 700 HELP!!!!!!!!

hi all, i have got myself a Trex 700 its got a beastx FBL system and i think i have done something really stupid
I switched the Regulator on and it wasnt connected to the receiver or beastx. I think i have cooked the Regulator now. My question is what regulator can i replace it with? like i said its running: Beastx, BLs 451's on the collective, 9256 on the tail and 9252 on the throttle, its got an ATG govener, it HAD a "perfect Reg" with a outrage 7.4v 2500Mah lipo. Im going to fit my Spectrum AR7000 rx to it.

I am so clueless when it comes to using FBL units and lipos with regulators and Goveners..........I really need help on this im scared I connect it up wrong and COOK something else............. to the point where i dont even know how to charge the lipo with the lipo balance charger i got with it............. the connections dont fit believe i need to get a deans plug lead made up.......???? and dont really know at what Mah to charge it or how many cells it is.

I know many of you that read this post are going to think "what a T**t!!" Im so confused, any help would be VERY VERY much appreciated.......

I'm not sure that simply turning on a regulator with a LiPo connected and not connected to anything else would cause it to go pop?

Is it a second hand setup? Maybe the regulator was duff before you started? Maybe it isn't duff at all but you need to bind the receiver? You won't get any electronics action until you do that.

Well that's what I thought, don't understand why it would so non idiot proof that it would pop.....

It's a used setup and I have taken the rx out of my fury that's been bonded to my tx already. After the pop noise with smoke I haven't tried connecting it all up, as I'm scared I cause more damage, and to be honest I don't know where to start! ;(

I dunno what to ^do, I guess it can only be the lipo, reg or atg cause the other things aren't connected yet.

Well how strange..... Managed to figure all the wiring out (I think) it all seems to come alive. So seems the regulator isn't cooked.... What popped and smoked then....?

If it popped and smoked then YES or ot least check the output voltage with a multi meter, but i would bin it.
