  • Buy or not?????

I can get my hands on a Trex 600 le nitro flybarred Heli combo all electrics incl. Just needs receiver and engine I think. The kit isn't completely built yet and all electric still in the box. The frames have been put together but that's all, So brand new, never flown. I can get it for £360. I was wanting to buy a flybarless version but this seems like a bargain!?!? What does everyone think??????? How much to convert to flybarless???

flybarless is gonna cost you around £200-£350 depending on controller and head so factor that in to your costs
Kel Velocity 50 sk-720 ,Fusion 50 v-bar pro 5.2 ,Velocity 90 v-bar pro 5.2 & JR DSX11 ,Phoenix and a fridge full of bottled water RCHA Courier Services PM for Details www.parcelshipper.co.uk and www.impactexpress.co.uk

Not a bad price if keeping flybarr'd but if your going FBL and want to put a 55 engine in it, it wont be that much cheaper. Plus what if parts are missing etc (depends who currently owns the kit I suppose, are they off here?).

Assuming the servos are up to the task (if it's the usual, Align DS610s then they're fine) then the cost to convert to FBL
would be; 1. The cost of the FBL unit only and mod the stock head, there is a good thread on here about modding the
stock Align head and it works quite well. So then it would be just whatever the controller costs.

Or 2. Buy a FBL head, probably about £60/70 ish and sell the stock head for probably about £30 ish (lots of flybarred
heads for sale out there so maybe not an easy sell).

The Beast X can be had 2nd hand for around £130.00 or 3G really cheap. 'Not sure about the VBar but it's a lot
        more.

The other thing to consider is the regulator / Lipo as I have heard that the Align 2 in 1 reg is marginal
for flybarless setups as they draw a lot more power.

I'd snap that puppy up. Even if you fly it fb for the next 6 months or so, seems like a bargain.
Remember, you don't have to buy any other parts brand new, there's always stuff on here and when the next new fbl shiney shiney comes out, you'll be able to bag yourself an upgrade, no problem.

Is it really a bargain though?

Compare that to the Logo 600 3D on here last week with all top gear in it including a Mini Vbar etc for £660, and that was RTf.

It's nearly half the price of the logo then. I'd say it's up to the OP to do the sums. I'd still bag it though.

Buy the Logo 600 3D on here and stick a BeastX on it.

£500 for an RTF Logo 600 then, bargain!

I think I'm going to buy a Fury 55 FBL kit and buy the other things in stages as I can afford them! At least I will get to put it all together
