I am currently building my 600NSP and I am about to fit the main gear. Is it necessary to use glue on the screws holding the one way bearing hub to the main gear?

Yep, a drop of locktite. Good practice to always use Locktite when putting metal screw/bolt into metal.

That's the screws into the maingear holding the housing - 5 screws?... I don't bother glueing them although a smidgen of CA is probably the right thing to do. I've never had one back out.PGK

Yes, the 5 screws holding the housing to the main gear. The manual does not show CA being added but it does say check that they have been glued (factory assembled). It is not something I have done on my other helis hence the original question.Originally posted by pgkevet View PostThat's the screws into the maingear holding the housing - 5 screws?... My bad, was thinking it was the same design as the 700.
I see on the 600, the Screws go through the bearing case into the main gear, where as with the 700, it goes through the gear into the bearing house hence my comment to to use locktite.Last edited by Aidi; 10-07-2011, 04:47 PM.
