Trex 700 skids on to 600

As title,

wanting some bigger skids for my trex 600 nitro, do the trex 700's fit ok.

Or can you direct me to what would be a tad bigger then the stock 600's

600/700 use the same skids so no size diff at all.

quk sell larger skids in various colours.

Why bigger skids?
As stated 600 & 700 skids are the same size, the only addition you need is a 700 tail fin which is longer and will save the gears on "most" heavy landings

because my bros 60 can land any where on this field, i have to pick my spot. Needs to be nice and flat, looks like it's going to fall over.
yep tail as hit when the back came down, but did not do no damage.

So will buy a 700 tail fin

The quick uk skids are excellent,and damn near indestructible.To put them together you have to show 'em who's boss!Dip the bow ends in very hot water and push the skid bars in with a firm twisting action.

Here is my very old 700 with the QUK skids.

I did have a pic with the original skids sitting inside to show just how much bigger these are but cant find it.

As said they are a pain to fit, a hair dryer will help as well as boiling water and a tea towel to hold it lol

cheers for that, i got the tape out and checked size of the skids on now. Ordered my set now so should be here, unless fast lads are open sunday then i can pick them up.

I am looking to put these on my 600n as well but not clear on 2 things, can someone please help clarify..

- it looks like they are 2cm taller than the stock skids, is this correct? I am looking for more ground clearance, so this would be perfect.

- how does the canopy clip onto them as they don't seem to have the lip as on the stock ones?

Ok update time!!!

I have fitted mine just now, i used an hand grinder to grind a recess or slot of the new skids. I had to do this because i did not have any longer bolts, once it was ground down the clip fits perfect to the cano.

The alloy skids slid in nice and tight, so no need to boil water to soften the plastic. After all was in line with the hole in the skids and heli mounts, i used some ca glue to fix in place.

The holes in the skids are all most perfect for my trex 600n, and you can get all 4 blots in. 2 with ease 2 with a tad of force.

All in all well pleased, 10-15 mins jobs done.
