600 tail slider

Hello,

I'm currently building a 600 and the tail pitch slider seems a bit flimsy to me compared to other parts of heli, particularly where the brass insert screws into the fork. Is there anything worth upgrading here or is that 'just how they are'?

If yours is the sport variant then defo go for the one that Adie is pointing to. At the same time as buying this consider the frame stiffeners

Also don't over tighten the bottom Jesus bolt it crushes the one way.

Thanks for the replys, mine is the LE version so I think I have this part already. I'm really talking about this part H60077T-1 Metal Tail Pitch Assembly

I think thats what I have on mine, just wondered there was something better. I've just did a search, which I probably should have done in the first place and seen some posts mentioning it can shear off in flight and suggestions of a sportsmoto or kde replacement.

i managed to shear mine off, it was the LE one, luckily i was on the deck at the time and just caught the tail rotor in some grass!

The bit's that can shear are the tail hub itself we think after over-tightening of the cap heads holding the blade grips on. My advice would be to replace the bolts that have been fitted with new ones and make sure not to over do it. Also the shaft slider has been known to shear at the point it enters the pitch arm, I would just make sure that it hasn't been over done and has a smidge of locktite on it. This part

I sheared that part on my 600 on its 4th flight, i replaced it with a new model & never over tightened it when installing it and have had zero issues!

I haven't overtightened it so should be ok. I'm sure someone at field will check the heli over before I fly it anyway.

Yeah that won't be a problem mate. We will do the threadlock test
