So i brought a new 600 LE in january and im just about too buy the 4th clutch.... wats going on? I thought i seen the LE shoe was thicker, smaller hole drilled in it, so it did rev higher before engaging but alot better for the 55's?.... but the the shoes i seem too be buying are the old $hite ones? dunno but im getting bored now....... sort it out......

I put a new 600 liner in mine, all i did was line the clutch bell with a piece of paper first & then epoxied the liner & the paper to the bell. I have had zero issues with mine since i done that. I also wrapped a single line of Electrical tape around the clutch and used that to hold the liner in place while it was drying and that made sure that the gap was perfect!

Change the clutch stack - or at least the bearings - it sounds like something is out of line.

Del19_82's advice is spot on in my opinion. Every TREX 600 I have flown or built has needed the clutch lining 'resetting' as the gap between the clutch and lining is too wide, meaning it engages later and causes the clutch shoes to sprag and therefore, break quicker. A single stip of paper behind the liner is usually the perfect fix.

The upgraded clutches are also fine, but the 'paper' fix is simple and cheap and means the standard Align clutches last so much longer. However, it is a shame Align never fixed this at the factory as the majority of 600's I have seen have had or needed this simple fix.

Something in the alignment of the clutch/bell could be wrong. There could be a problem with the bell being out of spec . Allowing the shoe to open more this can be seen in higher revs before clutch engages.

I am about to my a trex clutch by replacing it with a Lynx heavy duty clutch + liner. Notice the machined holes on the Lynx clutch. The shape and location of the holes alleviate stress.

That is indeed true, and a piece of cake.If you use leccy tape on the shoes then becareful with the epoxy, you dont need a lot

Just to note you can use a Trex 700 liner, they need to be trimmed to length (width was ok I believe) but they are the same thickness as the Raptor 90.
