  • Head Setup Linkage Lenths Etc

Hi all hoping someone can point me to a good head setup link, I'm using the std manual settings and although they work Ok there are issues.

for example at neg pitch the swash will hit the mast locking collar and bearing block if u use full aileron or elevator.

you could try lengthening the links from the bell cranks up to the swash then readjusting the ones above the swash to bring the pitch back in line

I always take the push rod lengths in heli instructions as a good starting point, but not as gospel. They are a good guide, but I've almost always then gone on to fettle with them to get everything absolutely bang-on.

          Jason

Align increased the length of the links up to the swash by 2mm i think in the latest manuals,,my 600N Pro fouls a bit but with the longer links its fine

I have fouling at all with either of mine now

Running minus 12 degrees but could get more but would have problems then

On Daves build, he lengthened the links up to the swash as it was binding at full negative and full cyclic (and still needed more cyclic for decent 3D response).

            Cheers,

hum watching the thread with intrest...

I am just making sure everything is to 90 degress as I can get it. I have one issue though.. I am using metal servo horns and they do not quite go 90 degress but the arm they link to I have made sure thats 90 degress.

I don't have any plastic servo horns left at all so goto use the metal ones.

Tail next anyway... Wendsdays job I think....
