  • Tidy installation on 700 ???

I am trying to find sensible homes for the receiver, GV1 governor, regulator and battery and still have a neat installation.

Anyone proud of their install - care to post some decent quality photos to give me (and others) inspiration??

My current starting point is receiver and governor on the top tray, regulator where the battery should go (underneath at the front) and the 5000mah 2s lipo battery under the fuel tank as it will be very nose heavy (Helibug 27cc conversion) and this will help get the CofG somewhere near.

    Thanks in advance.

You could put the rudder servo on the tail boom.
I don't know if there is a conversion kit on the market, but it works for other helis.

I'm no gasser expert, but 5000 mAh seems quite big. Were you really planning to fly, until the tank is empty?
The extra weight hurts you even more due to the lower power-to-weight ratio.

I remember using about 350 mAh per flight on nitro, to give some number. With the V-bar it's closer to 600 mAh, but that's flybarless.
My 3000 mAh LiPo (which is too big IMO, it's a scavenged flight pack from the 550) sits underneath the nose.

I have the gv-1 underneath, 5000 lipo on top and get 2-2.5 tanks out of it.
I cut the servo mount out as its not needed and put the ar9000 in there, bec is on the elevator servo so i can see the lights.
This will all change when it go's FBL

If you need weight aft to balance the CoG then I've seen a 700 with the lipo mounted on the top of front boom block (unless you're planning a jewel there). That one happened to comprise a pair of 'saddle' packs just 'cos the owner had them..
